Society’s rules were made to be broken.

England 1803: Lady Christina Beaumont, daughter to the EARL OF WHICKERTON, is not one to sit idly by while injustice unfolds. With her best friend on the verge of being sacrificed in marriage to a notorious scoundrel, Christina is determined to thwart the union. This man, a stranger to the genteel art of high society, possesses nothing more than a charming smile and a calculating gaze. His true ambition? To claw his way into London’s elite through marriage. But he hasn't met Christina yet. Her plan: orchestrate a rescue so daring it might just land her in the society columns.

In the game of marriage, love is the wild card.

Thorne Sharpe is a man who made his fortune in the shadows of society, rising from the gritty world of bare-knuckle boxing to the cutthroat game of investments. Now, with a fortune at his fingertips, he seeks a match that will grant him the social standing to effect real change. Yet, his intended is not the one who captures his interest; instead, it is her fiery friend, Lady Christina, whose scorn is as intriguing as it is incessant.

He crashed her plans, she stole his heart.

As Christina's schemes unravel and Thorne's plans take an unexpected turn, both find themselves entangled in a game of love and deception. With every encounter, their mutual animosity becomes strangely akin to attraction.

Christina must navigate the treacherous waters of London’s high society, all while protecting her friend and guarding her own heart against the very rogue she despised. Meanwhile, Thorne discovers that the line between villain and hero is as thin as the veil at the altar.

All's fair in love and schemes.

As the stakes get higher, will Christina's mission to save her friend lead her to ruin, or will Thorne’s pursuit of influence reveal a path to something even more unexpected—true love?

Psychic grandmothers, the prejudiced ton, love at first sight, unbidden tears, homeless children that pull at your heartstrings, kidnappers, and that's not all. That irritatingly magical kiss! Ooo la la!

Regency magic. This is my favorite Whickerton saga thus far. I love how this story went well into real life, past the wedding day. There were even suspenseful moments I didn't see coming.

Bree Wolf has created a beautiful story of what is truly important, character over class, and a better understanding of the goals and aims of most people. This story captivated me from the start and I am already anxious and excited about reading the next Whickerton sibling's love story

Wonderful Storyline!

What a fun-filled Regency romp this book turned out to be. Christina & Thorne are great characters but sometimes they seem to need a shake to get them to realise what is right in front of them. I loved the final chapters and highly recommend this book. Great addition to the series.

Does She or Doesn't She....Will He or Won't He

Can you despise someone without knowing them? It seems Christina Wickerton can, and does. Well, she thinks she does, but does she?

Can you want someone without knowing them? It seems Thorne Sharpe can, and does. Well, he thinks he does, but does he?

Once Upon an Irritatingly Magical Kiss is the perfect vacation read – long enough but not too long. Bree Wolf has again woven together a character-driven story that has drama, humor, love and a bit of danger. The plot twists and personalities kept me interested and the ending made me smile.

Content 411: This is a clean read. There is some kissing, but no swearing or sex.

Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book from the author. I am voluntarily submitting my honest review.

could This Be a Love Match?

Oh this Whickerton family cannot stay out of trouble. Each sibling so far has married in the midst of some unroar but to someone they loved as this family strongly believes in marriage for love . In this story another Whickerton will get herself into a situation that causes her to have to marry but the family isn't sure if this one is a love match.

LADY CHRISTINA BEAUMONT, daughter to the EARL OF WHICKERTON, wants to protect her good friend Sarah from marrying the wrong man. Sarah's family has financial problems and her father Lord Hartmore has made plans for her to marry a wealthy man that is not a gentleman but a man of trade. Christina is determined to help her friend avoid marriage to Thorne Sharp. There is just something about this man that irks her and at the same time draws her like a magnet.

Thorne Sharp has worked hard all of his life to get to be independently wealthy. His parents and siblings all had died and he had to take care of himself. Now he wants to marry a society wife to be able to make the right alliances, to help the poor working class people in his district. He realizes very soon that Sarah seems to be very afraid of him and he knows he will not push a marriage if she doesn't change her reactions to him. He also enjoys prodding her beautiful sassy friend Lady Christina and if he had his way, she would be the one he would choose to marry.

When Thorne and Christina are caught in a compromising situation, the solution is to marry. Can Christina see the real man instead of the fiend she has made him out to be? Will these two discover that their marriage could be a love match just like the other Whickertons?

I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest unbiased review.

Spectacular!

I received "Once Upon an Irritatingly Magical Kiss" from WOLF Publishing and Bree Wolf and voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Bree Wolf is an out of this world, wonderful author.
Christina Beaumont is weary of Thorne Sharpe, a wealthy commoner who is trying to marry into the upper class to advance some of his causes. In fact, he is interested in Christina's friend, Sarah, who is terrified of being forced to marry a man of such a different class. Somehow, Christina is found in a compromising situation instead and ends up being the Elitist married to someone from the lower class. Bree Wolf has created a beautiful story of what is truly important,  character over class, and a better understanding of the goals and aims of most people. This story captivated me from the start and I am already anxious and excited about reading the next Whickerton sibling's love story.

A Delightful Romp!
How do you prevent your best friend's father from marrying your friend off to a Duke so that he (dear papa) can solve his all money problems?
Why! The answer is obvious, or is it? Sometimes the lesson is in the 'Magical Kiss' and this was the dilemma facing Christina as she works to find the best solution.
Of course all the best laid plans must go awry and the muddle is quite hilarious, sad, perplexing and just too delightful for words.
Bree Wolf has shown us exactly why one shouldn't take drastic action in matters of marriage, even when one feels compelled to. Her characters are well thought out and nicely formed and bring us this entertaining story which I couldn't get enough of.
I read an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) and my voluntary review above reflects my own thoughts and opinions about it.
